I thank you for inviting me in to your school to serve in the role of School Chaplain. I will be filling in for Jannina this semester, Jannina has not been well but is on the mend and taking an extended break. I consider Jannina a good friend and hope she will back at 100% and continue the great work she has been doing in the school and the hills community.

My name is Adrian Wilson and I have been a School Chaplain for nearly 10 years. I am working at Walliston primary School on Monday and Thursday and will be working at Gooseberry Hill Primary School on Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday, with the occasional swap.

I have spent the first part of my working career in the kitchen as a qualified Chef, ten years at Miss Maud’s and various other restaurants around Perth. I am married with 3 sons, 2 of whom are primary school age, so I certainly understand the challenges faced by families with primary school aged children.

I am here to help, in whatever way I can. Mentoring, grief and loss, lunchtime sports, excursions, camps, programs, coaching, food hampers are to name a few of the things I have participated in.

If you feel that I may be able to support your child in some way, please do not hesitate to contact the school and get back to you.

Thank you,

Adrian Wilson

School Chaplain

WHAT IS OPERATION CHRISTMAS CHILD? Operation Christmas Child (OCC) is a project of Samaritan’s Purse. It partners with local churches in developing nations to reach out to children by providing gift-filled shoeboxes.

Will you join with us this year to help us reach more children with gift-filled shoeboxes from Australia and New Zealand for distribution to children in the developing world?

At the end of Term 3, we will send out more information to families who wish to participate.

Tip: A random act of kindness each day can boost your happiness

It’s as simple as helping your sibling with their homework, to letting someone in front of you in a queue, donating your old books to a library, holding the door for someone or picking up litter form the street.

Kindy have been quite busy with Pyjama Day last week and celebrating 100 days of school this week. Also some great photos from last term’s Environmental Day.

Year 6 visit to Kanyana on Tuesday afternoon.
