3P PHOTOGRAPHY – CATCH UP DAY

Regarding any absent students: 3P Photography have a ‘Catch Up’ shoot in their studio in Malaga on Tuesday 30 June.
Parents can book a time by calling direct to the 3P Photography Office on 9250 6244.

AUSSIE OF THE MONTH

Congratulations to Nicola in Year 6 for being the June Aussie of the Month. Well done! 

WEEK 10 – WEDNESDAY KINDY GROUP

A reminder that in Week 10, Kindy GROUP ONE (1) will attend on  Wednesday 1 July. 

2021 APPLICATIONS FOR ENROLMENT

Kindergarten and Pre Primary enrolments for 2021 are now being accepted. The closing date for applications is Friday 24 July 2020.

Children born 1 July 2016 – 30 June 2017 are entitled to attend Kindy in 2021

Children born 1 July 2015 – 30 June 2016 are entitled to attend Pre Primary in 2021

Application forms are available from our website. If you know of anyone wishing to enrol their children at our school next year, please pass this information on to them.

As Pre Primary is now a compulsory year of schooling, students currently enrolled in Pre-Primary do not need to reapply for Year 1.

2020 YEARBOOK ORDERS

Due to the positive response to our 2019 Yearbook, we are pleased to announce that we will be producing a 2020 Yearbook. Please see the attached flyer for further information and ordering instructions. Orders are due no later than Friday 26 June. Download your order form here.

LIBRARY

There are a large number of books overdue from Term 1 and seem to have been forgotten by many students.  The extended holiday period has made it difficult for them to remember any loans that far back and I would be grateful if parents/carers could reply to any Overdue Emails.

FATHERING PROJECT TERM 3 – Save the date

We are pleased to be hosting a Fathering Project evening for all Dads from our school in Term 3 on Monday 27 July at the Tap House in Kalamunda from 6:30pm. The Fathering Project assists Dads to organise fun activities at schools across Australia, providing a safe and inclusive environment where father figures can engage with their kids and learn, share and connect with each other.

ENVIRONMENT EXPO, DANCE-A-THON & TRASHION SHOW

The Environment Expo and Dance-a-thon will be on Friday 3 July. The Dance-a-thon is a P&C run fundraiser, sponsor sheets will be sent home in week 9. Dancing will start from 9am and students can come dressed in their best recycled outfits made from recycled products for the “Trashion Show”. More information to come on our Environment expo.

WHAT’S BEEN HAPPENING IN OUR CLASSROOMS?

Super Boss Day

Last Thursday and Friday the Kindy – Year 2 students celebrated Super Boss Day by dressing up as superheros to raise funds for ‘Heart Kids’ to support children with heart disease and their families. 

PhysEd

GolfWA came to the school this week, giving students the opportunity to try their hand at golf during PhysEd with Mr Caddy.

Room 11

This term in Science, Room 11 have been learning all about light. We have made periscopes, white light spinners, conducted investigations and even did some magic tricks! Some of the things we have learnt is that light travels in a straight line and it can be absorbed, refracted and reflected.

Kindy Group 1 & 2

Our Kindergarten students had a wonderful morning toasting marshmallows and riding in Mr John’s tractor!
