SANDERSON SAUSAGE SIZZLE

Congratulations to Sanderson faction who won the Virtue Token Tally at the end of Term 1! This Thursday 22 April all Pre Primary -Year 6 Sanderson students will have a free sausage sizzle during first lunch. Gluten free, vegan and vegetarian options available.

ANZAC DAY ASSEMBLY

We will be holding our special ANZAC Day Service on Friday 23 April at 9:30am. All are welcome to attend. We ask Year 6 students to please bring a plate for morning tea on the day, these can be delivered to the Library. Donations of greenery for wreaths and any parents available to help with wreaths on Thursday 22 April  from 1:30pm would be greatly appreciated. All students are asked to bring a flower on Friday 23 April for their class wreath.

Students involved with Scouts, Cubs, Girl Guides, Brownies or similar service organisations are asked to wear their uniforms for the ANZAC service. Please complete this online form if you will be inviting family/friends, your child will be wearing medals/uniforms or you are able to assist with making wreaths on Thursday 22 April.

STUDENT LEADERSHIP NEWS

At the end of Term One we farewelled Holly in Year 6 who had held the role of Faction Captain for Mason. Congratulations to our new Mason Faction Captain – Chloe.

This term we have introduced new Student Leadership Roles to our school in the form of Specialist Monitor positions. These Student Leaders will be assisting in the areas of Art, Music, Languages, Library and Technology. They will also be assisting younger students in the playground as our Peer Mediators.

BLACK PANTS NEEDED!

Mrs O’Reilly would very much appreciate donations of black pants/trousers for our Orchestra students. Can you please bring your donations to the office.

MATH CLUB

Math Club with Mr McNeil will commence in Week 2, Wednesday 28 April. If your child has not joined in Term 1 and is interested in a fun filled maths afternoon, please complete the form on Connect and return to Mr McNeil in Room 9. All current members are of course most welcome to continue as usual. 

SCHOLASTIC BOOK CLUB ORDERS

Scholastic Book Club orders need to be submitted by 3:00pm on Tuesday 27 April. Loop orders are now open online and cash orders can be delivered to the office.

NEXT SCHOOL ASSEMBLY & SECOND HAND UNIFORM SHOP

The next school assembly will take place on Friday 30 April at 8:50am, our hosts will be Room 9. All are welcome. The second hand uniform shop will also be open for business, get your winter warmers now!

MOTHER’S DAY STALL

Please note that the Mother’s Day Stall will take place in Week 3 (not Week 2 as advertised in the school diary). The stalls will be available on Thursday 6 and Friday 7 May.

SPREAD THE WARMTH

The cooler weather is just around the corner. Families who wish to donate warm items including blankets, jumpers, gloves, pants, socks and beanies can do so by placing them in the box in the front office.
