WONDER RECYCLING REWARDS FOR SCHOOLS

WE NEED YOUR BREAD BAGS!

Help us turn bread bags into school play equipment! Collect your bread bags/tags and drop them to one of our collection bins in Pre Primary, A Block, B Block, Brooks or Library before 21 July. The more bags/tags we collect, the more we points earn! The school will also go into the draw to win one of five exercise circuits made from the recycled plastic we collect.

WHAT’S BEEN HAPPENING?

Our Head Girl, Sadie and our Head Boy, Alex were escorted by Ms Archdall to the Perth Dream and Lead Conference at the Perth Convention and Exhibition Centre.  Dream and Lead is a one-day, highly engaging event designed to support primary school students in discovering their leadership potential, whilst providing them with strong foundations to succeed.

Throughout the day, students participated in lots of purposeful activities developing their problem-solving skills and increasing confidence and independence. Facilitated by internationally trained young leaders, students recognised the impact they can create as a young person. It was a great day.

Room 10 – Aerodynamics

Students had a competition to see which glider had the best aerodynamics, to travel the greatest distance. They had the opportunity to understand multiple aircraft, understanding the ‘angle of attack’ can influence how a glider flies. Students also studied progression of flight over hundreds of years:

  • 1485 Leonardo Da Vinci – the flight of birds to create flying machine designs.
  • 1903 The Wright Brothers – successfully made the first flight.
  • Now, 2021 – Aeroplanes that fly using sustainable energies.

Kindy Group 1

Our Kindy students got to toast marshmallows with Mr John today to celebrate our HASS studies. Mr John also took them for a ride on his tractor!
