GHPS READER CLUB
All students should have returned their Reader Club Log to their Teachers. These will be passed on to their 2022 Teacher and students will begin progress from where they left off in 2021. Any student who has not handed in their log, will be given a new log beginning at 0 in 2022.
We encourage our students to read widely during the Christmas break, but this is not included in their Reader Club Log. Logs will be distributed back to students on Day 1 2022, for them to begin recording again.

WHAT’S BEEN HAPPENING?
Last week we had the follow up series to the home and away handball tournament against Darlington Primary at GHPS. We had 48 students compete head-to-head to determine the best teams as well as best players between the two schools. It was very competitive, and our team was fortunate to win the overall points scoring for both girls and boys. It was an excellent and focussed effort by all our students to get across the line. As well, special shout out to Jude who won the overall boys title against a very determined Darlington player. Lily also did very well coming runner up in a hard-fought girl’s final. Great effort from both students and the whole team to bring the overall series victory to GHPS.
The GHPS Orchestra “flash mobbed” the school playing Baby Shark last week at first lunch, which was lots of fun and the Kindy and PP kids know all the moves!
The beginner strings workshop was held on Wednesday 24 November, our Yr3 violin and viola students attended at Churchlands SHS. They joined in with more than 70 other beginner students to play in a massed orchestra for a morning of amazing music making. They played so well and were wonderful ambassadors for GHPS.
The Brooks Area had a farewell chippy lunch yesterday with their awesome buddies!
